Most Frequent Questions From Patients Regarding Insurance

Does Dr. Austin accept insurance?
No, and here’s why: insurance companies often set strict rules around how long appointments can be and what treatments are allowed. Dr. Austin chooses to work directly with patients so that care decisions stay where they belong, between you and your doctor. (But...Labs CAN be ordered through the patient insurance)

Can Dr. Austin order my labs through my insurance?
Yes. Labs will be run through patient insurance when permitted by insurance. (Dr. Austin does not profit from patient lab orders)

How can I get insurance reimbursement?
An appointment "superbill" can be provided to you for potential insurance reimbursement. You will turn that superbill in to your insurance provider. Reimbursement amount is subject to the patient's insurance policy. ("Superbill" is simply a fancy word for a receipt with insurance medical codes)

Can I pay with my FSA or HSA card?
Yes. You may use your FSA or HSA card for both the Pay-Per-Visit and Monthly Pay options. Simply enter the card like any other credit or debit card when scheduling the appointment online.
